The newly formed Bangor 1876 won their first ever FAW cup competition match with a 5-1 win over North East Wales League side Sychdyn. A hat-trick from Lewis Summers-Jones and two penalties from Jamie Petrie claimed the win at Treborth.
In a seven-goal thriller on Anglesey, Bro Goronwy, lost by the odd-goal despite taking an early lead through Rui Silva on nine minutes.
Their visitors were Chirk Town who were also formed in 2019, and they responded with four goals with two coming from man of the match Tom Freeman. Dean Riley couldn’t believe his luck as his 30 yard strike looped in over ‘keeper Jonny Sweetser-Hawkes.
Josh Langford finished from close range early in the second half followed by a superb Freeman solo run that he slotted under the gloves man. Bro made it an exciting last few minutes after Jac Thomas finished at the far post and then chipped Nikki Williams to pull it back to a single goal but was a little too late as Chirk Town took the victory.
Mike Pugh scored a double for Acton in a 4-1 away win at Llangoed, with Luke Harrington and Nick Dunne also on the scoresheet.
Sion Roberts and Adam Jones scored second half goals for Waunfawr who won 2-1 at Pentraeth, after Gwyndaf Hughes had scored the opener just before the break.
Nefyn won 3-2 at Caerwys with Dylan Jones, Carl Jones and Gutu Roberts scoring for the Llyn-peninsula outfit with all three goals coming in a seven minute spell in the second half.
Chris Fisher scored five goals for Ynystawe in their 7-5 win over Seven Sisters. There was a brace for Darren Townsend and one each for Richard Lewis, Jack Delve and Evan Price in Pencoed Athletic BGC 5-1 derby win over Vale United.
Blaine Llewellyn and Daniel Gunter scored for AC Pontymister who beat Pentwynmawr 2-0 whilst Lucas Cwmbran won 5-4 in a penalty shootout after their match against AFC Whitchurch finished 2-2.
